Michael Talbot, BA, MCH, ISA
is a Planner, Certified Arborist, Conservation Consultant, and a Massachusetts Certified Horticulturist and Landscape Designer. Michael worked as staff horticulturist and educator for the Massachusetts Horticultural Society and Boston Urban Gardeners. He was a pioneer of organic lawn and landscape care and is also a recognized expert on Conservation Design and Restoration. Michael is a member in good standing of the American Society of Consulting Arborists, the Society of Wetland Scientists and Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions. Michael was a co-founder of the Ecological Landscaping Association, and he is a visiting lecturer at the University of Maine's Landscape Horticulture Program. Michael is the author of dozens of articles on many horticultural topics. He lectures frequently on ecological design, tree and lawn care at professional conferences, both regional and national, environmental organizations, garden clubs, lake and pond associations and other organizations throughout the eastern United States. He has appeared on many radio and television programs, including The Victory Garden and New England Chronicle, sharing his expertise on ecological landscape design and care.
